Welcome to the 21st episode of Kid Houdini and the Silver Dollar Misfits! We thank you for joining us and hope you enjoy your stay.
Big, big news to report: Viper Comics’ upcoming Free Comic Book Day offering which features our beloved Kid Houdini and the Silver Dollar Misfits is now the company’s most successful FCBD book ever! Please check out my blog for more exciting information! You’ll have to read it to believe it.
I’m sorry to cut it short, but I must close for now. I have an impending deadline so I need to get on it, doggone it.
See you next week, and thanks for reading! Comments–as always–are greatly appreciated!

And so the second issue of The Gloom comes to a violent and sudden end with this three page season finale!
And with this comes the last ever publicly viewed pages, as in 2005 The Gloom was cancelled after this issue, even though we had already finished issue #3…
And as we did with the break between issues #1 and #2, we’re going to take a break for a couple of weeks, still with updates - and the next issue will begin with the cover teaser in three weeks, on the 11th April. That said, there might be a delay the following week as I’ll be in New York for the New York Comic Con, and if I can’t get online in time, someone else may have to put it up for me, so it might arrive late. But arrive it will! And we’ve got original letterer Rich Emms lettering issue #4, and Dan’s currently finishing the colouring of issue #5. And more excitingly, there’s talk of a hardback collected edition of The Gloom finally hitting the stores in late 2008…
But until then, have a good Easter and enjoy these climactic pages…

Welcome to the 20th page of Kid Houdini and the Silver Dollar Misfits!
I have a lot going on and several deadlines to meet, so I’ll keep this short.
We thank you for taking the time to read our strip. We really do. I know that I am not the only one with an insanely-busy life, so the fact that you have chosen to take time out to read means a lot to me–to the whole team.
As always, comments are welcome. And please don’t forget to spread the word about our strip. If you enjoy it, tell a friend. Trust me: we will appreciate it immensely!

(I’d like to throw out a brief apology for being so delinquent on this…it’s not on David’s behalf, but on mine as the colorist. With one job less now, I’ll be looking forward to weekly postings. See you next Tuesday! -Stacey)

THE CHEMISTRY SET is a collective of comic creators, exploring what happens when they throw their talents together in the cause of fresh, new, unexpected work. Sometimes we get beautiful synthesis. Sometimes we get explosions. But in every case, we get new comics, delivered every day by talented up-and-coming creators, including three Xeric Award winners.
Always free, and just for you.
