The Gloom - Week 15

Posted by TonyLee on Friday, February 8 2008 at 5:41 am

Well, it’s been a draining week, especially with the San Diego Con Hotel Suicide Rush, but we have survived. And I at least shall be there.

And what’s more, as well as continuing this week’s incredible issue, Dan and I celebrated another landmark - we finally finished Hope Falls.

That’s right, with issue #3 just out and issue #4 printed and ready to go now, issue #5 is now done. It’s a little bittersweet, but already we’re onto our next project, The Prince Of Baghdad. More news when we’re allowed to say…

But enough of the future - let’s look to the present. We feel that we’re not famous enough yet, and that not enough people know about this serial - so, we ask every one of you reading this to do us a small favour. It takes a minute.

Firstly, comment in the comments section, because currently, we think we have about four readers. Secondly, if you have a column, blog, forum you post to regularly, then post there and mention us. Let people know we’re here.

Let’s make February The Gloom month.

Anyway, here’s your two pages for the week - and the introduction of a man who’ll make quite an impression on Carson Kane’s future…

For Your Consideration: Strangle/Switch at Zuda

Posted by JamesDougan on Thursday, February 7 2008 at 1:40 pm

Hey Kids!

ChemSetter Kevin Colden of TODT HILL fame has a new comic, entitled STRANGLE/SWITCH up and running for the February Zuda competition. It looks all kinds of messed up, which is what we like here at The Chemistry Set.

Give it a look!

Welcome, welcome to the 15th installment of Kid Houdini and the Silver Dollar Misfits!

I’m your host… no? Well, fine. Be that way.

We thank you for joining us this week for another brand new page! We also appreciate you spreading the word. Hey, we’ve seen the numbers. Your help is definitely a huge factor–and we thank you for your assistance. We can’t possibly succeed on our own. It is you who make or break us, so we thank you sincerely for your support.

I apologize for cutting this short, but I am off to do some more homework. Yeah, me… the 37 year old guy. Doing homework. It’s just not natural, I tell you.

See you next week!

-Dwight L. MacPherson (with Worth Gowell and Kevin Conley)

The Gloom - Week 14

Posted by TonyLee on Friday, February 1 2008 at 7:40 am

All comics must have a massive explosion - and The Gloom is no different! This week a soggy addition to our weekly serial! Can love rear it’s head amongst flame and noise?

And… crabs?
