Kid Houdini and the Silver Dollar Misfits, Page 11

Posted by DwightMacPherson on Wednesday, January 9 2008 at 1:00 am

Welcome to the 11th installment of Kid Houdini and the Silver Dollar Misfits!

I am excited to say that Edgar Allan Poo artist Thomas Boatwright will be doing the cover illustration for Viper Comics’ Free Comic Book Day offering. As you may remember, Viper’s FCBD comic will also feature the first chapter of Kid Houdini–so how cool is that?

As for the graphic novel, I am thrilled to announce that Chris Eliopoulos of Marvel’s “Franklin Richards: Son of a Genius” will be providing the cover for the book! Thanks, Chris! We owe you big time!

Alas, I need to get back to work on Poo Book 2, Chapter 3, so I will sign off for now. Thank you for reading–and please, continue to help us spread the word about Kid Houdini.

We appreciate you!

-Dwight L. MacPherson (with Worth Gowell and Kevin Conley)

The Surreal Adventures of Edgar Allan Poo: Page 53

Welcome to the 53rd installment of The Surreal Adventures of Edgar Allan Poo!

And speaking of our friend Mr. Poo, the second book is moving along at a nice clip. Thirty pages of art are complete and I should see three more this Friday. I really think you’ll enjoy the second installment. It truly is the “Two Towers” meets “The Iliad” of the Edgar Allan Poo saga. I. Can’t. Wait. Is September here yet? Ha.

Well, I need to get back to finishing the script for Kid Houdini and the Silver Dollar Misfits Volume 1. Viper has confirmed that the first chapter will be available as their Free Comic Book Day offering and we couldn’t be more excited.

See you next week!

FCHS - Extra! Extra!

Posted by Vito Delsante on Saturday, January 5 2008 at 2:18 pm

As an added bonus today, Tom Spurgeon, one of the best and most renowned comics journalists in the industry, did a series of Holiday Interviews for which I was asked to be a part of. I was honored and I’m pleased to present it to you all. Plenty of stuff about retailing, writing, and FCHS pops up in there too!

Sorry for the late entry, ladies and gents. This holiday season has been a killer! Yesterday, my small apartment was filled with children (5 in total), so, as you can imagine, I didn’t get much done. Other than keep the peace, that is. So, I apologize for the lateness and we’ll ensure that it does not happen again.

Thanks for joining us, though. We appreciate you stopping by to check out the newest installment of our sensational mystery comic. Please… if you enjoy it, take a moment to let us know. Believe it or not, we’d love to hear what you think. It really does matter to us.

With that, I’ll close and get back to yesterday’s neglected work. *sigh*
