Kid Houdini and the Silver Dollar Misfits, Page 12

Welcome to the 12th installment of Kid Houdini and the Silver Dollar Misfits!

This is my first week back to school and let me tell you… added to all my writing commitments, this is guaranteed to be my most fun semester yet! Dripping with sarcasm–isn’t it? Hahaha.

We thank you for joining us and please–if you enjoy the strip–tell people about it. We’d really like to get The Kid out to as many readers as possible before the Free Comic Book Day book hits. So your help is absolutely essential in accomplishing this.

In fact, we can’t do it without you.

Yay! More Houdini! Being sick for almost a week now has certainly fueled my empathy towards the gang for that green stuff they have to eat. Yuck! I look forward to the upcoming escape from their cell!

I live in a town with 2 colleges in it, (one of which I work at), and they’re just starting up classes again, too. On the one hand, I sympathize with the youth, as my wife was swamped with assignments when she was a student and I know the workload is insane. On the other hand… this generation has nothing resembling manners at all. I’m hoping it’s just common in my area as I shudder to think of it as a wide-spread thing. I don’t exactly shed too many tears imagining the same noisy, drunken kids who walk past my house at 3AM talking and singing AS LOUD AS THEY CAN having to do mountains of homework. I’m sure that not every single student is like that, but it still grates my nerves that there are a lot of opportunities and scholarships available for these kids and they just waste it on partying. Ok, rant over. Heh.

Still, I wish you good luck with your schooling and the continued existence of this comic! Just don’t get so stressed out that you light your hair on fire or anything…

HAHAHAHAHA! JERK! :-P

Thanks for the comments, Bathfrog, my friend. We’re happy you’re enjoying the strip.

As for “this generation,” I’m not a big fan of stereotyping. There are good and bad in every generation. In fact, some of my best friends in college are between the ages of 18 and 25. I definitely understand what you’re saying, though. :-)
