Kid Houdini and the Silver Dollar Misfits, Page 10

Sorry for the late entry, ladies and gents. This holiday season has been a killer! Yesterday, my small apartment was filled with children (5 in total), so, as you can imagine, I didn’t get much done. Other than keep the peace, that is. So, I apologize for the lateness and we’ll ensure that it does not happen again.

Thanks for joining us, though. We appreciate you stopping by to check out the newest installment of our sensational mystery comic. Please… if you enjoy it, take a moment to let us know. Believe it or not, we’d love to hear what you think. It really does matter to us.

With that, I’ll close and get back to yesterday’s neglected work. *sigh*

Hello, Faithful Readers and New Ones, too! This was a unique page for me, it continues the flashback sequence, but had some emotional scenes to communicate. My dilemma was to stay true to the Sepia tones from the previous page and still convey with color what the mood of the panel was: the warm affection Bea has for her father, the shock of the break-in/ransacking (the sepia’s get desaturated), and the trauma of Bea’s missing father called for a cold panel…
So if you were baffled by the changes thru-out the page, they were intentional, and hope they had the ‘impact’ I tried to contribute.
