So, we’re getting near the end of the first issue of The Gloom, with one more week to go before the three page finale and the Christmas break - and boy, is it a doozy! What will happen!
In other news, Dan and I had a very interesting meeting yesterday about a killer project which we can’t talk about yet, but which means that next year there will be even more Dan and Tony goodness, and this time more fantastical than the current supernatural Hope Falls, which, by the way now has issue #2 out in the UK, so will be in US shops any day now.
Anyway, you know the drill - enjoy the strip, drop us a comment to tell us so!
So without further adieu…

Welcome to the 7th installment of Kid Houdini and the Silver Dollar Misfits!
As you may already know, co-creator Worth Gowell and I have signed a contract with Viper Comics to produce the first–of hopefully many–Kid Houdini graphic novel. We’re very excited to be working with Viper Comics and thank them for taking a risk on Kid Houdini.
On a side-note, I just completed another college semester and am diving back into writing more Kid Houdini. Worth is currently illustrating the second chapter of the book and the ever-vigilant Kevin Conley has completed coloring the first chapter and has moved on to the second. Exciting stuff.
All right… back to work for me.
Thanks for joining us and we hope you will check back next week for another brand new episode.
-Dwight L. MacPherson (with Worth Gowell and Kevin Conley)

I’ve been…what’s the word…lazy when it comes to updating. That ends today. Today, you get everything you missed the past few weeks…and then some. Starting off with the last two profiles: Matt Reilly and Alisha Jones (for the last four profiles, click Dane, Kenni, Hector and Jules):

Rachel Freire: Kinda like an always cool, calm older sibling. Always smokin’, kind of a rebel…the kind that always sits out gym class.
Vito Delsante: Reilly is based on my friend, Matt. We also called him by his last name. He’s a little bit more exaggerated in some of his activities, but his basic attitude (laid back, geeky, friendly) are exact matches.

Rachel: Cute, petite n’ smart. Maybe a little oblivious to how attractive she is. Always fun, always upbeat and cheerful.
Vito: Alisha is based on my friend, Felicia…even the way they pronounce their names (it’s Ah-LISH-a, not Ah-LEESH-a). Felicia was my rock…the girl who would always be your friend, some attraction, but always platonic. She always reminded me of what I had to offer.
And now for some fun stuff. Rachel, the overachiever that she is, opened up her sketchbook one day, and had tons of cool concept drawings and such. So I “stole” her sketchbook, heated up the scanner and this is what I found:

That’s it. You know your FCHS Lions now. What comes next?
The first strip! Be here next Saturday for the beginning of FCHS!
