Welcome back to Kare-Kare Komiks!

Today we are serving a sumptuous surreal salad. Please wait a moment for the whole meal to load. It’s called “What Will You Bring?”, and it’s a bittersweet goodbye tale dedicated to Kare-Kare Komiks’ original home, Warren Ellis’ brilliant The-Engine.Net (R.I.P. 2005-2007). Kain na!

‘Kare-kare’ is a traditional Filipino dish that incorporates various assorted ingredients into a delicious, meaty stew. ‘Komiks’ is a term for sequential art made in the Philippines, referring to Pinoy mass-produced newsprint comic books. Put these two together and you have Kare-Kare Komiks, the new semi-monthly webcomic only The Chemistry Set.

Kare-Kare Komiks is an ongoing collection of self-contained short comics by Andrew Drilon that explores new flavors of the sequential art experience.

Be here November 7 for our next delicious installment! Kare-Kare Komiks: every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, only on The Chemistry Set.

Maraming salamat!

LOL! Like I said, loved that “except-my-mom-who-persists-in-La-Union” line. And I can relate with ever-fixed family members hahaha

Mabuhay ang Pinoy!
