Leading up to the December debut of our new weekly strip, FCHS, Rachel and I thought it would be cool to introduce you to our cast. Last time, we met head cheerleader, Kennedy Sanders and Julia Faraday. Today, we’d like to introduce you to one of our male leads, Hector Smith:

Rachel Freire: Our lead, popular, friendly and ambitious. Hot headed, especially when it comes to the ladies.
Vito Delsante - Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you…me. Or, at least, the me I always wanted to be. Hector is who I wish I was in high school. He’s a lot more successful on the football field, in relationships, and in school. He’s so much cooler than I ever was. Hector is wish fulfillment at its finest, and while I should be ashamed, I still like his story arc and where he’s going.

We’ve already met Kennedy Sanders, Julia Faraday, and Hector Smith. Today, we have Dane Foreman: Vito Delsante: Dane represents my two best friends from school, one of them more than the other, at least when it comes to his family (in a completely unoriginal move, I actually named his younger siblings the same names as the real “Dane” but in my defense, I really like those names). Dane, the character, is, like Hector, optimized for the sake of the story. When you put Hector between Dane and Reilly (who we’ll meet soon), you can see the two extremes for how Hector sees himself. Dane is driven to success, which may or may not be due to the fact that his father is a constant presence in his life. For Hector, that means that Dane is not only his best friend, but his greatest competition. One thing I failed to mention is that Dane has a lifelong crush on Jules, which, if you remember the initial promo piece, had Jules thinking about Hector, Hector thinking about Kennedy and Kennedy thinking about Dane.
