Scheherazade interlude: marcos ref

No interview today; the holiday season has certainly slowed me down (with no small help from this cold, I’ve got to admit; though Leland seems to think that my original cold has gone and another has taken its place). But for those of you out there who meticulously listen to every commentary on the DVD, I thought I’d post these:

marcos

Bet you didn’t think Marcos was a real person, right? It gets crazier: his name really is Marcos. This is Marcos Mota, my friend and co-worker from Community Connect. When I asked him if he would sit for some reference shots, he graciously agreed, even after I explained that some not-so-nice things would happen to his webcomic counterpart. Because gracious is the kind of guy that Marcos is.

(”I can’t believe you actually named your guy Marcos,” Leland said.

“Well, what else would I call him?” I replied. “That’s his name.”

I get stuck on names.)

Speaking of the day job, I’m thrilled to report that in mid-January I will be bagging the engineering for good in favor of this crazy little thing called writing full-time. Wish me luck. (And hey, if you need anything written… *grin*)
