TODT HILL, an adventure strip by Kleid & Colden, updates here every Friday… but is going on winter break! We’ve just wrapped the first issue of our epic story and before we dive in to the next issue we’re taking a much needed short hiatus. Starting next week, we’ll be running a short story by Neil and artist Jamesmith and then come back guns blazing with TODT HILL, Issue Two! See you in 2007!

No interview today; the holiday season has certainly slowed me down (with no small help from this cold, I’ve got to admit; though Leland seems to think that my original cold has gone and another has taken its place). But for those of you out there who meticulously listen to every commentary on the DVD, I thought I’d post these:

Bet you didn’t think Marcos was a real person, right? It gets crazier: his name really is Marcos. This is Marcos Mota, my friend and co-worker from Community Connect. When I asked him if he would sit for some reference shots, he graciously agreed, even after I explained that some not-so-nice things would happen to his webcomic counterpart. Because gracious is the kind of guy that Marcos is.
(”I can’t believe you actually named your guy Marcos,” Leland said.
“Well, what else would I call him?” I replied. “That’s his name.”
I get stuck on names.)
Speaking of the day job, I’m thrilled to report that in mid-January I will be bagging the engineering for good in favor of this crazy little thing called writing full-time. Wish me luck. (And hey, if you need anything written… *grin*)

Good morning, everyone… I hope you all catch your train on time, but while you’re waiting…
This little ditty goes out to one very sweet woman of Brooklyn, bless her heart… I hope she’s still out there, lookin’ after her babies the way she looked after me and my brother during some hard, cold times…
It’s called “Encore for my Babies,” and it goes a little something like this… if you please, welcome Mr. Rami Efal, artist extraordinaire to the subway platform…

We’re taking this story a little slower than the last, but I hope you’ll drop by for more next week.

I woke this morning face down in a bowl of eggnog and nothing but scraps of brightly colored paper to cover my shame and knew that my attempt to work through the holidays had been a spectacular failure.
Page 19 is still on the drawing table and the fact that I now have $140 in Borders gift certificates means it’s going to stay there.
I’m off to live at the bookstore. I plan to read, make impulsive purchasing decisions and drink Seattle’s Best until my gut bursts.
Predictably, next week Arrant and I will resume our break-neck pace of one page per week.

You’ll get none of my witty banter today because I’m as sick as a dog. However, you may get Solstice kisses if you lean in real close to the screen. Oh, wait… I’m sick as a dog…
You can catch chapter 1 here and the beginning of this current tale here.

Happy Holidays, everyone. Much thanks and love, too, for reading our stuff and all the support I’ve receieved in emails and comments. *Mwah!*
