Scheherazade: From the Library

First, thanks from the bottoms of our hearts for all the kind words on SCHEHERAZADE pages 1 - 3! elizabeth genco and adam boormanEveryone here at team Chemset is tickled at the feedback we’ve recieved on the site so far. We really appreciate the support and are way glad that folks are enjoying the show.

Here’s some administrivia that you didn’t get last week because my day job has me hanging by a tether this month: first, Boorman and I agree that maximum webcomic enjoyment potential increases proportionally to the number of pages posted in a single update. As such, going forward, our page updates will be beefier yet less frequent: about four pages every two weeks. This is a schedule that’s both easy on the crazymakin’ and meets our standard of delivering a satisfying comics experience every time.

Second, we’re none the fans of dead air around here, so on those off-weeks, I’ll bring you From The Library, a series of extra special five-question mini-interviews with some of my all-time favorite storytellers, artists and free spirits. These are the souls behind the stories on my nightstand and the pictures in my mind, including folks from outside of comics. I’m cooking up a great list and kind of can’t believe who has said yes so far — someone had better pinch me.

Lastly, as a special treat this week, we’ve got two pages for you AND our first interview, with none other than my good friend Brian Wood. How do you like them apples?

If you haven’t checked out SCHEHERAZADE yet, here’s the first page and pages two and three.

[…] No, I didn’t get the idea for five question interviews from Alan David Doane (though he does a mean one, and by mean, you know, I mean a good mean). I got it from JANE magazine. In fact, it’s going to be a whole series of five-question interviews, starting tomorrow with Mr. Wood. Here’s the scoop. […]
